MOCA Health provides patients with a seamless pathway from consultation to treatment, combining professional medical care with secure online access to prescribed cannabis medications.
On the clinical side, all practitioners in MOCA’s network are independent medical professionals who complete a structured training program in evidence-based cannabis use, dosing and titration protocols, TGA compliance, and long-term patient monitoring. This ensures safe, consistent, and effective prescribing practices.
Patients connect with practitioners through Halaxy, a secure telehealth platform that manages online bookings, payments, and intake forms. During a first appointment, patients book online, submit medical history and Medicare details, and attend a 15-minute phone consultation. The doctor reviews history, discusses treatment suitability, and if appropriate, initiates a prescription. The practitioner then submits a Special Access Scheme (SAS) application to the TGA, with approval typically granted within 24–48 hours. Follow-up consultations are required for renewals, treatment adjustments, or script expiry (6 months for THC, 12 months for CBD).
On the dispensing side, once approval is granted, patients receive secure login credentials for MOCA’s online portal. Here they can review prescriptions, order medications, download titration guides, and access attestation letters. Repeats can be ordered directly through the portal, with new consultations only required if treatment changes or scripts expire.
This two-part model ensures a clear separation: the clinic delivers consultations, prescriptions, and TGA approval, while the dispensary provides patients with safe, convenient access to their prescribed medications and resources.
